Benedictine and St. Gertrude are hosting a 5K race on March 14. The race will pass through the Museum District and Windsor Farms. Registration is $20.

Benedictine not moving to Goochland

The RTD reports that Benedictine is not moving to Goochland County. The school had been exploring all options as the monastery in charge of the school moved to Goochland. All of the athletic fields, except for basketball, are located in Goochland as well.

Benedictine wins state championship

The Benedictine men’s basketball team won the Virginia Independent Schools Div I championship for the second straight year. The Cadets crushed Bishop O’Connell 67-46. Benedictine had two players on the all-tournament team, and a third, Ed Davis, too MVP honors. Davis is headed to North Carolina to play for the Tar Heels next year. Source: [...]

The Richmond Times-Dispatch high school basketball invitational tournament will take place at the Siegel Center at VCU next weekend. #1 Benedictine is looking to defend it’s title from last year’s tourney.
